Description
This really needs to be a 4-way stop. The new townhomes with on-street parking block visibility. This is right next to a school with lots of kids and pedestrians. Many drivers already treat this as a 4-way but that only makes it more confusing. There is a lot more traffic with the townhomes filling up plus new retail development (Walgreens) going up now.

I've referred this to our Public Works Department. I will update this issue when I have heard back from them. Thanks for reporting.

The evaluation for an all-way stop at the Vogel/Bruckhaus/Glen Autumn intersection has been completed. None of the warrants for an all-way stop were met, so the all-way stop request will be denied. However, we did find out that the stop signs are currently on the corners with the highest volumes of traffic. Usually the stop signs go on the lower volume street to allow the higher volume street to have the right-of-way. In this instances there were 748 vehicles entering the intersection from Bruckhaus while 1622 vehicles entered the intersection from Vogel/Glen Autumn. Therefore, we will be putting in a consent agenda item to City Council to remove the stop signs from Vogel and Glen Autumn and place the stop signs on Bruckhaus instead. We hope to have that item ready for the June 21st Council meeting.

Thank you for looking into this and thanks for the prompt response. I am really impressed with the SeeClickFix program. I hope the proposed change improves traffic. I think changing the stop signs should have a good effect - there is better visibility from Bruckhaus plus the traffic on Vogel/Glen Autumn should be slower anyway since it is a short road with a deadend.
I think that eventually that intersection will have to be a all-way stop. The housing is being built-out now and there will be dozens of new homes soon. Additionally, the retail being built at Vogel & Brier Creek will increase traffic further. But the main concern is the pedestrian crossing with the elementary school & community center. Is there another way to make this safer? Any pedestrian crossing signs, or warning about pedestrians in crosswalk having right of way, or school zone speeding warnings? I think the speed limit is already as low as it can go. Just not sure about the best way to handle this. But as the area grows with residential and retail development this crossing could get hazardous.
Thanks again for your work.
