This will be the third time I posted this issue in the past year. The first time I was told the city acknowledged the issue and would send a grinding team. That has not happened.
This is a considerable tripping hazard that has reached the point that child strollers must be lifted over the raised concrete section.

This is unacceptable. I have appealed for 18 months for a repair of this sidewalk. My appeals were both "acknowledged" by the Department of Public works. After re-appealing for action, I was told that the sidewalk was scheduled for grinding Spring /Summer 2014. Below is a picture of the work that was done.
I will not accept this craftmanship and find it considerably more offensive than the delay in responding to the issue. I am a homeowner who cares for my property and expect the city to care for the sidewalks, in similar fashion. I am not some slumlord who will accept this type of work. I would highly recommend the city rethink this repair since it will find me to be a persistent homeowner who will see this done right, and will do whatever it takes to see this done.
