Manhole cover cave in & Street Flooding South side of street
Note most of the man hole covers are not draining on Leland Ave Between Sheridan and Winthrop Ave. Cars get frozen into place after snow and ice melt and refreezes cars then have to be towed out of the ice. Addresses with problems
1022 Leland South Side of street
1047 Leland North side and south side of street and back up drain at center of street are not draining.
Drain covers have been cleared but will not drain.

They probably close it because you are reporting flooding as a pavement cave-in.
Also, most drains in Chicago have restrictors in them to prevent the pipes themselves from not being inundated. This inherently leads to street flooding during large storm events.
I would recommend that you send this in an email to the alderman. Fully describe the area, the history of issues, and attach all the photos you may have. The alderman should at least be able to get you an explanation of whats going on and/or why it hasn't been fixed yet.
