Description
34 & 40 Cottage St: most the sidewalk in front of the both houses a solid sheet of ice. It is obvious that the landlords/owners has not even attempted to remove or put sand or salt down. I slipped & fell hard & hurt myself. I thought the property owners were responsible for removing snow/ice on the sidewalks? The paper also said that the city can enforce a fine. Be careful walking there (and in general) please! :)

Quoted from the New Haven dept of public works site under "What can Citizens do to help the Snow Removal Efforts? :
DO remove snow and ice from your walkways. Not only is this the right thing to do, it may save you from a citation."
Where are the citations New Haven???????????????????

Try contacting the owner's of the property, let them know that you fell on their sidewalk and that you are preparing to sue them.

They might be living in CT., Milford?
Maybe they have a negligent property manager, or an agreement, with a tenant, to keep the walk clear?
