No speed limit signs for 4 miles north or south between Bally and Hereford. People go whatever speed they feel like.
The limit is 55mph. PUT UP SIGNS!!!
There already are signs in both the north and southbound where the speed limit changes to 55. Also, according to PA code, that area is not an urban area, does not have a posted limit of 65, is a numbered traffic route, and is not functionally classified as a local highway; as such, it is assumed the speed limit is 55mph. PA code pertaining to speed limits is found here: http://law.justia.com/codes/pennsylvania/2010/title-75/chapter-33/3362/
(b) Posting of speed limit.--
(1) No maximum speed limit established under subsection
(a)(1), (1.2) or (3) shall be effective unless posted on
fixed or variable official traffic-control devices erected in
accordance with regulations adopted by the department which
regulations shall require posting at the beginning and end of
each speed zone and at intervals NOT GREATER THAN ONE-HALF MILE.
Read the last line. The distance in this complaint is 4mi...PUT UP SIGNS!!!!
Yea that's great and all for the people who know all the PA Traffic Codes.
We're talking about the everyday route 100 idiot who is more concerned with texting and talking on their phones than driving.
You want them to "assume" that they can go 55mph?? Not once in 5 years has anyone gone 55 from sign to sign. You'll be lucky to hit 45mph most days and that is without *gasp* a school bus or a tractor trailer on the road.
These mental midgets need guidance, and with all the recent motor vehicle deaths along this route...you'd think they'd get some!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
