Description
This morning around 9:50am, a City of Raleigh sprayer truck was parked in the left lane of Western Blvd completely obstructing traffic. There were no signs or cones placed on Western Blvd to warn of the truck and this created a very dangerous situation with the number of cars on the road that were swerving to avoid the City of Raleigh truck. Please fix this problem from happening again before there is a serious accident.

Thanks, for following up! The truck was headed toward MLK (east?) on Western Blvd. and from what I remember, it was somewhere between Ashe Ave. and the prison. The truck was a white pickup and seemed to be an older, more boxy looking model. It said "City of Raleigh" on it, but I don't recall whether the city emblem was on the truck. I could not tell what (if anything) was being sprayed, but there was a spray unit on the top of the truck. There were no employees outside the truck; it was simply parked in the lane with the brake lights on (no hazards or anything).
I wish I could provide more details, but I was more focused on making sure no one ran into me while they were swerving to switch lanes to avoid the truck.
There is another report on here from Dec. that is pretty similar, but I cannot say for sure whether or not this truck was City Parks. I only recall it saying "City of Raleigh". Here is the link to the other report if it helps. http://en.seeclickfix.com/issues/855768-dangerous-city-parks-truck-on-western-blvd

Truck was not parked but operating at low speed applying herbicides. Work activity was performed according to all state and federal regulation for working within a travel lane performing a continuously moving operation. We will add additional signs to assist motorists!
Sorry this one took so long to respond to. A number of SCF issues have been lost in the system and we are just now recovering them!!!
