"Try talking to those people and find out who they are" and then what? Let them continue trashing the neighborhood? Neighbors don't disrespect other neighbors and trash their own neighborhood. Joseph, can you speak with "those people" and ask them to clean up their mess?

Joseph, be the change you want to see. If you disagree with someone's method for dealing with a social issue, then give that person the same courtesy you are asking them to show the illegal campers. The community obviously doesn't have the capacity to help these folks or the homeless wouldn't be there.Put yourself in the neighborhood's shoes. It's hard when you come home from work and someone has setup camp on the sidewalk in front of your place, pooped in the yard, left a broken crack pipe on the stairs... next to a pocket sized pry bar. This is society's problem, we are all responsible for doing something about it -not just the unlucky folks where these troubled people decide to stop. In our society law enforcement and social services are how we distribute the responsibility, so let people demand law enforcement and social services do their job, and you can do what you want about it as well.
