If the home was foreclosed and a bank or other financial entity owns it, they are legally responsible for securing and maintaining the home.

Great to pass an ordinance but where is the oversight and enforcement?

Here is what this pile looked like on Friday when I left work. It just keeps getting worse. We will see how long it takes to get someone to take action on this. There are more houses than this one in Oakland that get used as dumping sites. Why not make the banks that most likely own these homes clean this up.

Eric brings up excellent points here - and it is my understanding that see click fix is monitored by code enforcement - and OPD. God only know what is going on INSIDE some of these houses and warehouses in this area. Sadly appears to be a long wait before action occurs by government, such sat he San Leandro case where the abandoned house actually caught on fire before anyone did anything about it. What does the Mayor say? What do the candidates for Mayor say?

This house (and others) essentially is a full-blow dump site - DEAR CITY of Oakland: You have a law for this - seize this property and sell it!
