Description
This pile of garbage has been piling up behind this abandoned house for months and now it has spilled over the sidewalk and into the street. There are all types of garbage, mattresses, couches, yard trimmings, piles of dirt, clothing, tires ect.... Who knows what's inside of the house. Please get this cleaned up before it covers the entire street. I understand that you don't handle the stuff on private property but like I said it has spilled into the street now. It's obvious that the house is abandoned because the windows and doors are boarded up, and that the mess is a result of illegal dumping. Who does the abandoned house get reported to? The mess is a huge healthy and safety hazard.

The abandoned house should be reported to Code Enforcement at inspectioncounter@oaklandnet.com.
If the home was foreclosed and a bank or other financial entity owns it, they are legally responsible for securing and maintaining the home.

Great to pass an ordinance but where is the oversight and enforcement?
