I'm resident of 20015 since 1975 ! first of all the side walks on Nebraska ave are to narrow to plant tree without their root system compromising the road and the sidewalks this is why they don't plant trees so close to the sidewalks and this is why they're ignoring your request!!!!😂look These are New sidewalks four years there was no sidewalks on that side there are zero tree roots destroy sidewalks this is a 7 years old sidewalk we in the ANC ask for the Knollwood community after the Knollwood expansion this area is directly adjacent to rock Creek Park which is a national Park ..federal property with 7miles of trees

Again, you are mistaken. Public property is public property! Not all tree roots affect sidewalks, period. It's odd that you are arguing against tree requests, which should be welcomed by all since they bring beauty to the neighborhood. You should welcome neighbors who voluntarily make an effort to make such requests. Complainers can step aside.
