Description
Sidewalks Throughout Morris Cove Are Unsafe & Need Repair
The sidewalks on Townsend Ave, Lighthouse Rd, and ALL side streets throughout Morris Cove are in grave need of repair. They are full of holes, heaves, cracks, and in some areas have been taken over by grass, trees, and shrubbery. They are not safe for children, elderly, and are impossible to navigate with a wheelchair or stroller. This is a neighborhood meant for walking and sightseeing.

Townsend Ave from Florence to Krauser's needs to be re-done too. There is zero curb along much of this stretch and the side walks need replacing too.

I have walked these sidewalks since I was a kid, and none of them have been done over.. We are one of the best parts of New Haven, and its a shame with all the taxes we pay these sidewalks are a mess.

Didn't everyone know that they ran out of money? There is only money for burned out, abandoned buildings. THEY have new walks, curbs, and lovely bus kiosks. The Cove just pays taxes.

Yes, it would make the neighborhood look cleaner and certainly safer for walkers and joggers.
Every year we were promised new sidewalks. I know times are tough but a little upkeep will go a long way!
