The large piles appear to be the product of people parking their cars on the street during the snow storms. On that side of the street there is also a thick ice sheet that covers that entire travel lane. It would be great to have a plow try and break some of that up before the next storm.
Andy O, They never plowed that side of the street. I am a resident of Lawncrest and the the "Little Dump Truck" made one pass.... That was it. And that was on the odd side of the road.. I don't know who's bright idea it was to send the "Little Truck" knowing that they usually send the the guy with the "Big Truck" that knows the neighborhood and does a good job... I have read other listings and the concensus shows that we want OUR driver back... But as a safety precaution, yes, you are right they need to do something before the next storm in 48 hours.
Crew has been out today salting and sanding citywide. Tomorrow promises to be some of the same. Plowing has been more of a challenge with chunks of ice and colder temperatures. Thanks for the feedback.
We are closing snow issues and directing our attention to "street sweeping". We will review all snow issues in order to improve next year's snow removal planning and response. Thanks for your feedback and patience. To read about "street sweeping" please follow this link:
