I cant believe no one has complained about this issue. I was there today at the blinking stop sign and was dumbfounded at who thought this was a good idea. I watched my clock tick away as I sat at that stop sign for 6 minutes waiting for the person in front of me to continue straight. It was absolutely pathetic. This needs to either be a shared stop intersection or install a light. I drove through there at 1pm - I can only imagine the complexity at rush hour!

Seems like a shared stop would be a good idea, especially if combined with a "tabled intersection" that would improve visibility of pedestrians, too.
We should make traffic patterns saner in downtown Milford and also make it a more attractive place for pedestrians (like downtown Guilford..) good for business!

Has this been examined yet?

Examined by who? Has someone contacted the police department? They a responsible for stop signs and signals. If not. I'll do it next chance I get.

I agree!!!!!! This needs fixing. Definitely.
It is an embarrassment as well as being.. unsafe.

I agree with the frustration, especially as a train commuter who parks in Lot 3 and occasionally makes a left out of the lot instead of a right along with other many other. I do, however, think the solution has to take into consideration the potential traffic backlog this might create at the (busier) intersection of Broad St., River Rd. and New Haven Ave. (by the Chamber of Commerce). If you imagine the steady cross-traffic that prevents us from crossing over Broad backing up further upstream, at the aforementioned intersection, you see the challenge. A light may work if timed properly with the existing ones. And as mentioned early, this would create a safer situation for pedestrians. My amateur observer two cents, anyway.
