Description
over 50 tires were dumped here very recently, sometime in the past week. At least a dozen tires are still on the street, but most have been thrown over the guardrail. Unbelievable. We need them removed, and also "No Dumping" signs placed here. Otherwise, it will become a magnet for similar dumping.

Are you serious? This issue is NOT closed.
I am attaching a photo from a week and a half ago.
It's true that the tires that were actually left on the street are no longer there, but there are still DOZENS of tires that just are over the rail. It is impossible to not see them. They are visible to anyone walking or driving by. This is the 1900 block of Fenton St. in Montrose.
That location is city of Richmond property (it is not private property). Please do not allow it to become a dumping ground.
I saw the city employee load one tire onto his truck and drive away (this past Friday). I have a sneaking suspicion he just rolled the rest of the tires down the hill, because he felt like there were too many for him to clean up alone (and he is right--there are too many for one person to clean up alone--there are 50-70 tires down there!!!).
This will become a major problem once mosquito season begins. They will all collect water and allow for mosquito breeding.
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! I will continue to monitor this situation and hope it is resolved very soon.

So what happens if people start dumping appliances there? It just remains there for the rest of eternity?
I am asking a serious question, because how does the neighborhood get this resolved without City help? This is apparently City property, and not privately owned.
Please direct us toward the appropriate department who can resolve this eyesore and also public health hazard...
