The sign is STILL THERE, verified city "worker" I drove by there today and the sign is still there! Obviously you don't get out around the city very much, do you verified city "worker"
The sign was removed from its original location at the corner of Broadway and Cedar St (across from the convenience store) to the other end by th 2ns ball field. I has been relocated because the project is starting back up in spring 2015.
If it was relocated, then it was moved 3.5+ years ago, as can be verified from online imagery (Google Maps street view). The only other similar sign I recall was at Magoun Square (another ARRA project) — the sign was on Dexter Ave. Perhaps this is where it originally was, because I don't recall a sign being on the corner of Broadway and Cedar. Anyway, the ARRA was passed in 2009. The City is still using funding from the act to work on Trum Field 6 years later? I really find that hard to believe. And haven't finished the work after 4 years? That, I can believe.

Then someone put it back up, because it's still there. The DPW should be able to see it from their windows and front driveway.
I would have left this closed given the previous comment from a city official, but the new official comment is clearly inaccurate.
