All of the roads in the Elizabeth Lakes Estates subdivision are a mess
Who's going to fix them? You can't count on the homeowners because a lot of houses are rentals and the homeowners could care less how bad the roads are, they don't have to drive on them. I'm going broke fixing our cars. The Township doesn't care, they don't live here. The Road Commission just does a half-assed job of filling the holes.
The homeowners should stop paying Township and County taxes until the roads are fixed.
Cathy is right about most of the roads in ELE, but S. Winding is the worst. Some main roads in the area have been redone two or three times since I moved in the area (over 20 years ago) and our subdivision roads have only been "patched". If the bigger roads were done right in the first place, maybe there would be money to fix the side roads properly. Just patching S. Winding is not going solve the problem.
The county can only do what they are told to do. its the people that live in the naborhood that should take resposeability. you hear everyone complain about car repairs because of these pot holes and yet they wont do anything about it. all they do is complain. take action sign a petition and get this done. if you have enough people take action it will get done.
No matter how you look at it, the homeowners will have to pay their share. It will be an assessment on your property taxes each year. You need 51% on a petition to get it done. Bite the bullet and do it.
Wow! Has anyone been on Winding lately? How about that 5 by 5 foot crater at the top of the hill that forces you to drive into people's yards to avoid totalling your car? Ridiculous.
