Description
This is getting old... I see so many people flying through here to avoid the light. Why can't they wait like everyone else? I've had far too many close calls here when turning the corner and having someone pull right out in front of me that cut through the bank. This needs be fixed, and the solution is simple. Simply block off the drive thru when the bank closes, and put a gate up at the ATM and it will only open after you are done using the ATM.
Simple as that!

it's about time someone brought this to light. I too have seen way too many people do this... i am in a hurry too sometimes, but i don't cut through the bank, i wait like everyone else that's supposed to! Funny thing is there is never a police officer in the area when someone does it!

Thanks for the heads up, guys . . . actually, I've seen people do this a few times myself at this location. I'm copying your request to the Mayor's office and the police department.

Thanks for notifying the Mayor and Police about this matter. I really hope something can be done about it... it's certainly a dangerous situation. I just don't understand why everyone is always in such a hurry. I'll even admit that I do 75-80 on route 2 going Westlake, but I have to! I'll get run over! Especially by the people doing 80-90 in the fast lane!

Thanks Carl . . . the Mayor's Office made a good point, though: this is private property, and the city can't take action when it comes to putting up barriers or blocking off the ATM lane. Lorain National Bank owns the lot. I'll wait to hear back from the police department, though.

Thanks. I am aware that the city has no jurisdiction in this matter... maybe the Mayor can contact LNB regarding the situation? That would be great if LNB acknowledged the situation and resolves it.

The police chief just got back to me about it this morning. He is going to pass it along to the officers, and I'm assuming they will keep a closer eye on the situation. I also sent the chief and the mayor a link to this See-Click-Fix watch area, so please feel free to post any other helpful suggestions you might have about handling this properly. Thanks!
Turn Lane Needed (Guest)
I agree, but what's worse is driver that are not considerate, pulling over into the right lane at the light because they were 2nd in line in the left lane. Consideration for those turning is apppreciated... Should be a turn-only lane there...
