Description
The Savan Drain has not been maintained for over 10 years that I know of. It floods regularly, is deteriorating homeowners properties and causing septic malfunctions. Harrison Township needs to put some money into their drainages ditches for the properties that still have no sewer options.

Savan drain again flooded 7/9/2013. The drain appears to be abandoned. Every year the drain becomes shallower and floods further into yards. This past weeks flood has the ground still soaked after 4 days and the air smells like a cesspool. I am afraid to let my kids play in the yard until it drains and I can hose down the grass. This has become a real health issue.
Harrison Township and the Macomb County Drain Commission continue to point fingers at each other.
