This is a 4 way stop. The problem is people need to be educated AGAIN how a 4 way stop works. Its not your turn until the other 3 lanes who got there BEFORE you have gone. The RR crossing 500 feet away from this intersection will be closed in 2 years. No need to put in a light that will cause more problems later.

The road isn't wide enough for a proper stoplight. Take a look at how much real estate is required at Hickory Ridge and Rocky River Rd. Left turn lanes plus a longer approach would be needed there to make this happen. It may be a moot point anyway if the NCDOT follows through on its p;an to close the railroad crossing on Hickory Ridge Road.

I disagree with RS Goodin they could widening the intersections What is taken so long for them to put a light at this intersection.
