DESCRIPTION
In addition, the 2 poles towards the west do not have lights, meaning that it is completely dark for about 1/2 block. A street light should be (re)placed on at least one of these 2 poles.

ACKNOWLEDGED City of New Haven Street Lighting Division (Verified Official) on our work orders 2013-11-29 · Flag
Disappointed taxpayer (Guest) I reported this for the first time in early November. Problem has still not been addressed, a week after formal acknowledgement. 2013-12-06 · Flag
TG (Guest) Still not fixed; going on 7 weeks. What will it take to get this basic problem resolved?
Hello Thomas,
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I have reported the issue to the Engineering Department. If I don't hear back by this Friday, I will take it up with the City Engineer.
I agree that these lights being out is a significant problem.
Best regards, Adam.

Dear Adam:
It's now been nearly 2 months since I first reported this problem and it's the 3rd time I have written to you, so far with no action (or response).
Is this problem outside the purview of an alderman? If so, please advise whom I should contact instead.
A very disappointed taxpayer.

Subject: FW: LIghts are out on Chapel at Ward 24-25 border
Dear Adam:
I am resending the message below since I did not hear back from you.
This area along chapel and edgewood park is pitch black. As one heads east on chapel across the bridge, the first light is on; there are no lights on the next 2 poles and the light on the next pole is out, meaning that there are no lights for nearly 1/2 block, making this area very unsafe.
Can you please direct this to the proper person?
Thank you,
TG

Subject: LIghts are out on Chapel at Ward 24-25 border
Dear Adam:
I haven't had any luck/response with See-Click-Fix, so I thought that I might write to you.
On the south side of Chapel right before the bridge (over the creek in Edgewood Park) heading west from Ella Grasso, lights are out for 4 consecutive light poles, making this area very dark and dangerous for pedestrians and bicyclists.
I biked home from work earlier today, before the lights ordinarily turn on, and noted that 2 of the light poles actually do not have lights; and I believe that the lights on each side of these 2 poles are out.
According to the map, this area straddles wards 24 and 25.
Is this something that you could look into?
Thanks,
TG

I'll have to take a ride over next week and look at the two poles. Typically, the lights were originally laid out to industry standard specifications and we have not been altering the layout as part of the LED retrofit program. I can't promise anything at this point, but I will look at it.
Thanks for noticing so quickly the new lights are up. Hope they make a noticeable difference.

We are delineating Street Lamp issues that are current and need the city's attention to resolve. Any issues prior to Dec 31, 2015 are being closed. If your Street Lamp issue still needs to be addressed, please create a new issue by selecting the Street Lamp service request in SeeClickFix. Providing a pole number and/or a more precise location is important. Once your issue is submitted, the Transportation, Traffic and Parking Department will acknowledge the issue and create a maintenance/repair work order.
