Pretty easy to say unless your elderly or a child coming from west going east and have to cross one of the busiest streets in PA. or else walk all the way back to 5th Avenue intersection. By the way personally i dont care but seeing a young child almost get hit by a car trying to "walk on the other side" is what prompted me to write. TY
if that is the case then use the hand signal to stop traffic and cross when it is safe to do so.this situation is not hard to figure out but i guess it is allot easier to complain than to try and figure out a solution.i only mention the hand signal because it is taught to young kids in case a situation like this arises.
Actually I tried to go over and clear a path through the pile. The chunks were just to heavy. Secondly vehicles doing a right hand turn coming up from 6 th avenue cannot see a child behind the then 5 foot high pile till they entered the road area.
Strangely enough the same bobcat that put the pile there has been sitting for several weeks but has never loaded it in the trucks and hauled it away like the rest of the snow.
Sure wonder why you are so against cleaning that area though.
The Truth, it may be taught to kids at an early age, but they're kids. They're not liable to remember things like that on a Friday afternoon, for example. First they have to get over the "Mountain" without falling down. That can usually work for a few minutes of game time. Time when they're not watching the traffic.
If homeowners and renters are responsible for keeping the sidewalks clear of snow, according to the by-laws, then the City should have the same restrictions put upon it, and not just take the snow off the roadway and dump it on the sidewalks.
