"The principal trend that emerges from the papers reviewed here is that clearly-marked, bike-specific facilities (i.e. cycle tracks at roundabouts, bike routes, bike lanes, and bike paths) were consistently shown to provide improved safety for cyclists compared to on-road cycling with traffic or off-road with pedestrians and other users. Marked bike lanes and bike routes were found to reduce injury or crash rates by about half compared to unmodified roadways."

I am a daily cyclist for 13 years. There isn't room for a bike lane on Koenig. Some parts, yes, but then it will have to disappear when it gets narrow, making it very dangerous. I wouldn't want to ride that road anyway, such horrible air quality due to all the auto traffic. There are other (less direct) ways across town in the area fortunately.
You are insane to want to bike on this road. Where is the option to vote against this request? I ride a bike regularly, but I don't ride on roads like this. There are good alternatives. Take time to plan your route before heading out on your bike.
Maybe west of Shoal Creek blvd, but not needed to the east and no room. I'm a bike advocate btw. If I need to access something on Keonig I will use the sidewalk for a few blocks, after using quieter routes.
