The Red Cross, local churches and schools have opened warming centers across mid-Michigan for those who lost power during the ice storm.

- Maple Rapids Community Center, 209 Union St.
- Bath Township Hall, 14480 Webster Rd.
- Trinity Church, 3355 Dunckel Road.
- Meridian Christian Church, 2600 Bennett Rd, Okemos - Offering place to warm up, charge electronics and grab a cup of coffee. Snacks are welcome, but the church is unable to provide cooking. Open until 6 p.m. Monday.
- Haslett High School, 5450 Marsh Rd - opening at 11 a.m. Monday - blankets, personal belongings and mobile devices are welcome
- Gier Community Center, 2400 Hall Street - also offering showers (517) 483-4313
- Foster Community Center, 200 N. Foster - (517) 483-4233
- Schmidt Community Center, 5825 Wise Rd. - phones not working, but building is open
- DeWitt VFW Post 671, 12250 Old US 27 - food and warming center, bring a sleeping bag or blankets with a pillow
- Riverview Church - Holt, 3585 Willoughby Rd. - offering warming center, phone charging, Christmas movies and warm coffee, open until 5 p.m. Monday
- Nazarene Church - Mason, 415 Maple Street, open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday, Consumers Energy is delivering food on Monday
- First United Methodist Church - Mason, 201 E. Ash Street, open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday, Consumers Energy is delivering food on Monday
- Mount Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Road - bring your own food
- Calvary Lutheran Church, 6301 W. St Joseph Highway (near Creyts) - offering 24 hour warming center including coffee, hot chocolate and snacks, food is welcome, can charge phones, free wifi - FREE Christmas dinner from 12 - 4 p.m. on Christmas Day, Dec. 25
- DeWitt Junior High School, 2957 West Herbison Road
- United Church of Ovid, 131 West Front Street
The Red Cross asks people to bring clothing, hygiene needs and medication. They also ask people to not bring alcohol, drugs, fire arms and pets to the centers.
If you plan on going to a center and have a pet you're worried about, contact Ingham County Animal Control at (517) 676-8370.
