We are aware of this situation and are designing a solution. We propose to install additional drainage structures to the left and right of the existing grate inlet in the driveway.

As we are engineering a solution to this problem, I am going to close this issue. In the interim, it is important for the residents to help keep the gutters in front of thier property free of leaves and debris. City ordinance requires that leaves, grass clippings, etc be placed in bags or containers, not put out loose. The photo included in the original posting shows evidence of grass and brush collected at the storm drain inlet. This blocks the storm drain inlet. If the inlet is keep free of debris, the inlet will accomodate normal rain events and flooding will not ocurr.
