The Penn Mount Photo Building located at 439 Main Street (Corner of 5th & Main) has been collapsed for three (3) years now! This pile of rubble had asbestos and toxic materials, which has now traveled into our storm sewers and emptied into the Darby and Cobbs Creek waterways. In 2010, Darby Borough received $100,000.00 from the County of Delaware to CLEAN THIS TOXIC SITE, however, as of today, March 4, 2011, this pile of rubble still sits as a dangerous eyesore. This is unacceptable living conditions for the residents who live in close proximity as it is now a haven for rodents. Shame on Darby Borough for allowing us to live in this dangerous filthy condition for three years!
