People know full well what the speed limit is, as they drive 60-70 mph on Tryon Rd. The problem is the total lack of speed limit enforcement. No agency enforces the speed limit. This is the only place in Wake County that the speed limit can routinely be exceeded by 20-25 mph with no adverse consequences, other than the threat to those that live on this road.

In regards to the "lack of speed limit enforcement", this area of road is under Raleigh PD's Southwest Raleigh Police District. Might I suggest you contact Officer Barbie Upchurch or Sgt. Gerald Takano at 996-6167 and ask for patrols and express your speeding concerns? I'm sure they will be glad to assist. Meanwhile, I'm sure See/Click/Fix will report the obscured signs soon.

Hello, I presume this ticket got lost with some of the others a few months ago? The speed limit sign closest to Tryon Pines Subdivision is almost completely covered by a shrub now. The other one is slightly covered. Can we find out if it's DOT or City and request some trimming?

I presume this is not going to be addressed so closing the ticket.
