Description

The pedestrian crosswalk signs were replaced in the spring to include a countdown. This is no longer working on the crosswalk signals in front of the ABC store or behind the Shell gas station. The crosswalk sign behind the Shell gas station does not light up at all when the pedestrian can walk (it is black, not lit).
There are also no street lights on this intersection when crossing 10th/Washington from Filmore Street. This is a dangerous intersection for pedestrians since drivers often run yellow/red lights to turn left from Washington Blvd. Not functioning crosswalk signals and a lack of lightning makes it even worse, especially since most people are walking home from work now in the dark.
