Hollywood beach; with vehicles parked off the road (in a POSTED empty "green area"), to even completely on the road without flashers on and with no occupants in the vehicles nor any persons around that might appear to be drivers of the vehicles. Also, vehicles park and "stop and stand" -- usually occupied, but not always -- all along Surf Road in "old north beach" (a narrow one-way road) of Hollywood beach like it is a scenic vista turnoff, with the vehicles' engines running and with prevailing ocean winds blowing the foul exhaust into nearby residences. The offending vehicles include private business, city, county, state, border patrol, ice cream trucks, and even HPD patrol cars (the latter of which are sometimes side by side blocking the road even to pedestrians and bikers). With these clogged thoroughfares being in a residential area and crowded enough, what with people walking their dogs on long leashes and of course with no leash at all, to include "vicious" dog breeds, this activity is not only unhealthy and annoying for residents and tourists, but is also dangerous to all, and HPD should start ticketing and towing the offenders while keeping their own vehicles off on side streets. Please fix this blatantly obvious and flagrant problem Commissioner Asseff. By the way, the HPD might also do something about the "dogs on the beach vioations" notice on the 'seeclickfix' page for Hollywood; the burgeoning beach fly infestation feeding on the dog waste left on the beach by defiant dog owners are proliferating in large numbers.
The top part of my earlier post was somehow truncated, so I am re-posting the missing top part of it here so that it hopefully makes more sense...
To the esteemed Commissioner Asseff: this problem also occurs numerous times per day in the 300 block of Elm street on Hollywood beach; with vehicles parked off the road (in a POSTED empty "green area"), to even completely on the road without flashers on and with no occupants in the vehicles nor any persons around that might appear to be drivers of the vehicles.
Thank you, - am sure this happens elsewhere. I hope this systems

Thank you for your e-mail advising of your concerns. Your e-mail was forwarded to the City's Department of Community Development & Code Compliance for their investigation and response, as well as to Police Chief Wagner's Office for their information.
Lead Code Compliance Supervisor Jim McGee advised the following: "Area Code Officer Alex Araya and myself drive through this area multiple times per day. We have not observed any vehicles blocking Surf Road or side streets. Officer Araya found a car partially blocking the street on Thursday. It belonged to a lifeguard. He did speak with the lifeguard who stated it was the only place they could park but he would try to find a better location. He will check back this week and if the vehicle still creates a problem, he will speak with the Ocean Rescue supervisor so the guard can be ferried to that location or assigned an ATV for transportation."
If you have additional code related concerns, Officer McGee requested that you contact his office directly via telephone #(954)921-3061 so that he could assist you.
Thank you again for your e-mail, and the opportunity to be of service.
