Description
Per Richmond Code 102-227 "Trailers and motor homes of any weight may not be parked on streets in residential areas. This ordinance applies to all trailers, including those containing boats." Please have it ticketed, towed, or removed promptly.

Actually, the law is clear that any trailer of any size in a residential neighborhood...it is very broad. And yes, I have reported other similar issues within the Museum District. And yes, the police do respond to these and usually contact the offending owner first before a ticket is administered.
Regarding parking within 10 feet of an intersection or alley: yes, I have seen it enforced. Especially when it makes for a dangerous exit or turn. And it should be enforced more...much like many of the other city ordinances...that were intended to make the city safer, cleaner, and more inviting.
Without these ordinances, there are many trailer owners that would just leave their equipment on the street taking up already limited parking spots.
If you have a problem with the law, contact your City Council member...John Baliles lives a few blocks away...and have them change the law.
