The firt is the poorly designed intersection with a traffic light and left turn lane. There is little space in the extremely narrow street (due to the lane painting) for the resident's "visitor" to park in the street in-front of the house. If they do there is a real potential for collisons.
Second the residence are not conizant of the local culture and behavioral expectations.
Our inspector went by 7200 Mine Shaft Road to speak with the homeowner today. At her arrival there was only one car parked in the driveway, there were no cars parked in the grass. The homeowner informed the inspector that all front yard parking had ceased. The homeowner has placed a small statue to the left of the drive to prevent parking there. Based upon the inspector's visual observations grass has begun to grow back in the areas where front yard parking was occurring. Due to that observation the inspector feels that the front yard parking issue has been resolved.
