Description
Southbound motorists wishing to turn left into the Stewbert's property are afraid of pulling into the center median because it has diagonal "barber pole" striping. Instead they slow down and stop in the fast lane to wait for oncoming traffic before completing their turn. This is an operational nightmare and a safety hazard; a chain-reaction rear-end collision is imminent. I recommend changing the diagonal hatch striping to that of a typical center turn lane, or at least have the State Police stop by Stewie's and informing motorists that pulling out of the fast lane on a high-speed highway is preferable to causing a serious collision because there are ither vehicles on the road behind them.
