A simple solution: Drivers quit driving like morons and stop for pedestrians. It is a clearly marked crosswalk. How do we get the morons to stop? Hand out $500 tickets to any driver who does not stop. This will easily pay for someone to sith there for a couple weeks handing out tickets.
Go to Calgary, and see how this has worked, if you even look at the road while standing on a corner, traffic stops in both directions....I swear a blind man could walk around without ever getting hit.
