Description
I’m a resident/owner on Burke St and am very concerned that an automobile repair shop is being run on the street in front of the 6 family 29 Burke St. The resident’s son on the 1st floor right side is constantly repairing cars in front of the house with his buddies and many times they leave the cars on jacks. The also parked an unregistered piece of junk Acura with gray primer that a friend used to own on the property of 32 Burke St and now there are 3 unregistered vehicles on that property. The place is already a dump and now it looks worse. One of the friends drives out of here like a maniac all the time. His revs his car so loudly that it sets off other car alarms. As a parent I am very concerned about the kids running around here and possibly getting hit by him. His car registration plate is 6ADSV5 and I believe it’s a Honda or Acura late model. I believe he also owns the car illegally parked on 32 Burke St. It’s October 28 and so far as of 1:30 pm they have worked on 2 cars today and both of jacks. I am hoping you say something to his family. They leave trash on the road while they are opening parts and eating lunch and it blows all over the place, most times my yard and I have to pick it up. I know I’m not the only one upset, I have talked to several of my neighbors and they don’t like it either. Thanks, I hope you speak to these people as I don’t like this happening in my neighborhood. One more thing, there is a camper parked in the back yard of 32 Burke St that the owner drove in about 6-7 years ago and left it there and now lives in Tennessee. It has weeds and vines growing over it and sometimes the door is swinging in the wind, it’s also unregistered along with the acura and purple neon in the front yard. Thanks.

You’re not going to charge $1600 a month for a rent in a city center that looks like this:

Trolling everyone else's threads and posting the same comments literally hundreds if not thousands of times on unrelated issues makes using this site confusing for newbies who think you are serious and complicates things for those of us who try to put comments and issues together with solutions.
While your concerns about appearance of the Farrel buildings may be legitimate, your complaints asserting that the city has the ability to do something more are misplaced. Taking the issue directly to the Farrel Corp may gain you the results that the City doesn't have the legal authority to compel.
Where I am very confused about your posts is if you are really concerned about how the industrial end of downtown looks, why do you denigrate the efforts to sell and redevelop the buildings? Isn't that what you want? In many of your posts you point to Shelton as an exemplar with their redevelopment of factory properties along Canal St, but when Ansonia does the same thing you curse the effort and claim it is doomed to fail.
The SCF Community doesn't understand you. What is it that you really want?

Ansonia will always receive the intent of a temporary stay agreement. What they leave behind would be the ultimate challenge as the town trends towards more of these blight complaints slowly resembling the quite streets of Detroit. Where was the PLANNER when all these aka’s behind the names were originally complaining on the larger issues month’s or years ago based on your findings? I am glad I joined this so called aka band-wagon based on a freely open forum and first amendment rights tied to journalism using my birth given name and ability. Kind of happy to know I am not the only one with the same issue.
