Everytime it snows mailboxes on 306 get knocked down by the snowplows.
I guess the people need to do a better job at installing their mailboxes or put up a board in front of them.
the city should pay for it, just report it. I would rather the plow trucks knock everyone's mailbox down if it means they are going to plow the streets quicker. The longer they spend trying not to hit minor things the longer it takes for streets to get plowed
If the plow hits the mailbox, the city will replace it, but if the snow from the plow hits the box, its your problem to fix. If you need to install a board along side the mailbox to protect it, remember to put your address on it so a fire truck, ambulance, or plumber can find your house. In Concord twp , you can have the township install a nice aluminum job for a minimal cost, I don't know if Mentor offers the same?
It is no longer snowing, so the issue has disappeared with the snow.
