The curves from William to Bradley and Bradley to Lyon are especially treacherous and narrow. The plow on Sunday actually closed off the access to the end of Bradley so residents could not get in or out except by doing their own shoveling. It clearly was the city's responsibility to return to clear and widen that area so not only could we travel safely but emergency vehicles could access. By the way, what happend to finishing the clean up job? Lyon from Olive to Jefferson was done nicely but Jefferson to Bradley was untouched.
I placed a call to the Department of Public Works (203-946-7700) who confirmed in person that William, Bradley and lower Lyon are on a list of streets to begin snow removal tomorrow (Friday). Today they are focused on salt and sanding. If the streets are not cleared by Saturday please let me know.
Thank you for this update. I have shoveled many parking spaces in front of 2-6 Lyon and on Bradley but the road itself is a mess and there are still many ice encrusted piles remaining on parts of Lyon and at the curves. Will there be parking restrictions? I usually walk to work so would need to move my car. (it's currently on the even side of Bradley). Thanks again.
I'm not aware of any new parking bans at this time, but will keep you posted here if I hear of anything from the City staff. Unfortunately DPW closes early and I won't be able to confirm in person until they re-open again tomorrow morning at 7am. I hope to have an answer sooner than that though!
