Fairview ave is dangerous to travel on with parked cars blocking the lanes. I have come close to being hit many of times.

FYI, I have asked the Public Safety Committee to explore new parking rules for the Winter months.
I realize it may be unpopular, but we need to limit parking to one side of the street when we have a lot of snow on the ground.
If you would like to express your feelings, be sure to contact your Alderman before we discuss it at the next Committee meeting.

There should also be no parking on Howland ave. There is a white Hyundai that is always parked on the crest of the hill on Howland. If you are heading towards Fairview on Howland, it is impossible to see oncoming traffic. You have to pull over into the opposite side of the road, not knowing if there is a car heading right at you. This is very dangerous and cars should not be allowed to park in a place that creates such a dangerous blind spot.

Especially with the cars parked on the corners and big vans and trucks. How are our kids supposed to walk to school safely when they have to bob in and out of traffice to avoid all the parked cars

Sadly this is STILL an issue! I don't agree with the idea of no parking but it should at least be restricted to one side of the street.

One Side of the Street parking on snow days is a good idea. The CHANGE to a one-way St. on VanBuren was an excellent idea ALSO. One more thing, almost daily "fixing" of automobiles on public streets should be a NO, NO !
