This poor greenway may need a little TLC from the city. Sunday, around 1 pm, I noticed a black SUV parked on the greenway in the 1400 block of Nottingham. It was smack-dab in front of the "No Parking" sign. There's no curbing on the west side of the street where the houses are and I'm sure the residents do not want their manicured lawns parked on, but I don't want our greenway parked on either. I've stopped reporting this and tracks because there seems to be no point. They aren't emergencies, but they do degrade the quality of the greenway.

But back on topic. The "pothole" mentioned here is pretty large and probably hasn't been helped by all the recent rain.

Someone has shoved a stick in the hole to (temporarily) patch it up, just fyi.

Also, I agree with Parking Patrol regarding the impact that parking on the greenway has on the trees and pedestrians dealing with muddy tracks. However, I will say that the police frequently respond to our calls by having the folks move. It is and has been an issue for years, so I understand the frustration.

The vehicle I saw may be one of the residents on this block, which would really be a shame. I did see one resident on this block dumping his yard waste in Beaverdam Creek. (He nodded and said hello). Anyway, I'm hesitant to call the police over this type of thing because I feel they're already stretched kind of thin. But if you think I should, please weigh in. Thanks!
