Description
Most nights after 5 pm many neighborhood kids on bikes are riding on top of and using their side bars to run up on brand new park benches installed last week. The benches are now discolored and chipped and scratched with many splinters. This 6 park benches were installed next to the big red piece of art behind the Robert Giamo Federal building on Orange Street.

You are 100% correct. Even the downtown area, the face of the city is filthy with litter, garbage, and postings every where. Even business's from other towns stick their adds on everything in New Haven. Everything seems broken. Poor maintenance, poor lighting, poor policing. Enforcing the so called quality of life laws would go a long way. Given the way surrounding towns have developed over past 10 - 15 yrs. there's no reason to come to New Haven. They all have good restaurants and shopping, in a cleaner and safer environment.
