Certainly! If you are on the west side of Person, and you have just passed (you are going north) the "last store" in the former Person St. Plaza ( Yellow Dog Bakery is only store there, but a neighborhood bar will be opening in the "last store" site), I am talking about where the property begins for the first house on this part of Person. The first residential house in quite a bit, in fact. There are only three on this block, and then you come to Delway. So, at this first residential property, on the southeast edge of the property, is a curving cedar tree. It has been trimmed back before, clearly, but it needs a real good trim again, or you could fix the piece of sidewalk! The offending block of sidewalk abuts a telephone pole. Water always collects here when it rains, even the least little bit. So, 3/4 of the sidewalk is under water, but the tiny bit of high side is underneath the cedar. But the cedar hangs so low ( I am only 5'2"), that you can't get under the cedar at the only part of the sidewalk that isn't in a 3 inch puddle. Of course, right now, there is no puddle because it hasn't rained in several days. Although the cedar does need to be trimmed up and back quite a bit, I believe the ideal fix would be to make that block of sidewalk drain correctly, plus trim the cedar. I would ask the property owners to trim the cedar, but I never see them when I am walking or running by.

Yes. The area of the sidewalk between the telephone pole and the huge bush. Every time it rains it puddles up and makes the walkway impassable. The photo is spot-on.

Yes, I had a very hard time navigating past this point with a baby carriage the day after a rainstorm, and almost resorted to going in the street, which is quite dangerous at this location.

Parks & Recreation had the location surveyed and the trees in question were determined to be on private property. They sent a trimming abatement to the property owners on the 21st of October. Once they have confirmation of delivery they have 15 days to comply or request an extension. They should be able to provide more information next week.

Thank you. I actually saw their yard guy out working last weekend and pointed out the problem to him and he said that he would mention it to the homeowner. So maybe between the two notices......
