The Fan/Museum District have lots of these types of run down and poorly managed apartment buildings. Perhaps we could ban together to tackle getting them all cleaned up? Start by getting images, locations, etc and approaching city council/etc. It is a blight on the city!

@ ocdecks The problem is the City of Richmond is not proactive. Sadly, they will wait until someone gets hurt and it makes the news. Only then, when the political leadership has their face next to this issue, will they attempt to clean it up. Code enforcement is inadequately performed in this jurisdiction.

Our councilman says he monitors this site and he could have the city take action. But, maybe he doesn't really monitor the site but wishes to appear concerned. Maybe he will respond; if, he really cares. Lets see!

@dennismcguire if he cared, he would have taken action already...why wait until someone gets hurt. I contacted Baliles about all of the garbage and recycling receptacles on Ellwood, and nothing was done until I contacted DPW directly.

Maybe that is the only way we can make progress. But our councilman non concern should be a good weapon in the next election. I tried to contact Richmond Realty by email their contact us was not working. Did you know Richmond Realty is the oldest reality company in RVA.? I think we maybe able to get the media involved to move this forward.God knows there are a number of these evolving slums. Let's see if we can start something to get in front of this problem which is hurting all of us.

Please share the exact address of this quad with us. There are quads at 2, 4, 6, & 8 N Auburn. Is one of these the correct address to send the inspector?
