So sorry to hear of this. The complaint appears to have been posted on Sept. 26, so did the event actually happen on Wed., Sept. 25? Good to get the date straight so you can follow up with the NHPD or NHPS school transportation (if it was in fact an NHPS bus).

Yes, sorry, the date was September 25, 2013. I am so upset about this I don't even know what day it is. My husband did not report it, I will ask him to do so. He was, understandably, too disoriented to follow through on it - he didn't even think to call our insurance agent.

Please call it in to the NHPD non-emergency number: 203-946-6316. Make sure you get the case number and tell them you would like this investigated.

I have asked him to do so today. The issue here is also if my husband were driving an automobile he could have crashed into a bus full of school children.

You can call the NHPD; you don't have to wait till your husband is up to it. Do it immediately or sooner! Also, I assume you have taken him for medical care because it sounds like he could have gotten a concussion and these things are treated much more seriously now than they used to be. Lastly, the school bus company can tell where any bus is at any time, and how fast it was going. Be SURE to call the bus company. (BTW, how can you be denied a deductible? That's ridiculous. Is that your health insurance or vehicle insurance? Get the NHPD police report and call someone to complain about that....) Good luck!

I'm assuming it was a First Student bus. Their drivers speed through the neighborhood, disregard traffic signals, and idle in violation of CT laws. No one, particularly the bus company, seems to care. I wonder what the last time was that the transportation contract was awarded to another company.

Police report being filed today, they would not take one over the telephone. The deductible I was referring to was my vehicle insurance, I have to pay the first $250. My husband is a man, therefore he has assured me he is "fine." I am sure he had/has a concussion, but medical care is his decision.

These buses all have GPS locators in them- Call the police and the bus company. First Student is VERY responsive to these types of complaints and will trace it down.Don't waste your time with Paul Bass he will only write what he wants to portrait he may end up making it look like your fault.
