Description

Thanks to SCSU Service Group(in photo) Friends of Edgewood Park, Sergeant Renee Forte, Officer White and Officer Wright, Ranger Harry Coyle, Nick Licata Neighborhood Specialist, LCI who gathered on Saturday 9/21/13 to clean along Chapel Street, duck pond and Edgewood Park! 117 trash bags, plus various dumped Tv's etc were cleaned from the area. It takes a community for sure! Thanks

You can follow events happening at the park by going to the official site for the Friends of Edgewood Park (FOEP) at http://www.friendsofedgewoodpark.org/wp/. Friends of Edgewood Park is in need of more volunteers. There is an organizing rally on Tuesday Oct 1st at 6:30 at Edgewood School. Please stop by!

We do the same thing here in the City of Oakland. Every Wednesday, the office of District 5 partners with a different district school for a neighborhood clean up. Additionally, every Saturday, we partner with community residents a host a 3 hour community clean up. We're glad other cities are also doing the same thing!
