It is GA law that a car must "stop and remain stopped to allow a pedestrian to cross the roadway within a crosswalk." For school-age walkers to Dunwoody Elementary School and Dunwoody High School crossing Vermack Road at Parliament Drive in the crosswalk is very dangerous. In the morning and afternoon cars traveling on Vermack Road regularly do not stop for pedestrians in the crosswalk. A sign in the middle of Vermack is needed to remind drivers of the GA law to stop for pedestrians.
