The SE corner trashcan @ Grays Ferry and Fitzwater is chronically overflowing due to people dumping bags of household garbage. Is it possible to post a sign about not dumping house trash in public receptacles and start fining people?

Day 3 (at least) of the trash pile. It grows and the corner becomes "trash strewn" and quality of life declines. It's the little things sometimes.

Closed? Hardly. This is the pile on Saturday. It continued to grow. This is almost a weekly problem. That corner (& bus stop) becomes a landfill.

Photo Sunday @ about 5PM. It was still growing this morning (Monday). It's a sanitation issue, a health issue, a quality of life issue. An embarrassment.

The trash keeps piling up. It's been about a week now. Is there a sanitation strike? People just keep adding trash to an overflowing container. Those little blue bags are dog feces. How is this not a health issue? It's certainly a quality of life issue. Even after contacting 311 the LAST WEEK the trash pile keeps growing. Everyone involved (the sanitation dept, the people that dump bags of household trash) should be ashamed.

Cleaned up as of yesterday. This is however a recurring problem. I hope the situation improves. Residents need to be fined for dumping bags of household trash in public receptacles and the sanitation dept needs to regularly empty the trash can.

The saga of the Grays Ferry/ Fitzwater landfill continues!

GREAT! Spouse went out @ 8:30 this morning and he said it was at least a foot over the top. I hope the trash police look through it to see at least a few names of those responsible for this health hazard. Heard about PHL's trash police before moving here from VA two years ago. We'll have to keep on this.
