It's disgusting, but you've also got to consider how much it must suck to have nowhere to go to the bathroom. I was in the Chapel Street Starbucks not long ago when a homeless woman walked in -- in visible distress -- and asked if she could please have the key to the restroom.

The unsympathetic employee said she'd have to wait until all of the customers in line had been served (there were four or five people waiting, and of course they all had to have their double iced frappucinos with skim milk foam). The homeless woman pleaded -- she was actually squirming -- but the employee insisted it was "store policy" and didn't even glance her way until the last customer had been served. Finally she handed over the key.

I've never seen such a loss of human dignity. It was disgusting to me. I could probably handle being homeless; maybe even begging for money. But to have to beg to go to the bathroom? That would be too much.

This is also a major issue in front of Haven Market. Im always being asked for money. Theres a few men that hang in front quite a bit.
