Description
i live off of rucker road in northfield subdivision. I drove 30 miles to downtown ATL yesterday for work. Without a doubt the most treacherous part of that commute was on rucker road. The street appears to have received no treatment. I am surprised it is open. It desperately needs treatment. Not sure I am going to work today because of my fear of Rucker Road.

Rucker Road has received multiple treatments throughout this storm / ice event. Unfortunately, ice quickly reforms due to sub-freezing temperatures and the shady conditions along the roadway.
City of Alpharetta road crews are continuing around the clock schedules as they work to address ice on area streets and roads. Earlier today conditions on main streets and thoroughfares were such that some crews were able to return to the task of addressing conditions on neighborhood streets. Other crews remained dedicated to addressing icy patches that have persisted or reformed in low-lying or shady areas, especially along sections of Kimball Bridge, Rucker, and Webb Bridge Roads.
