This isn't just limited to the tumbledown house at this address. On just one street alone in this Southeast Mt. Clemens neighborhood, there are three abandoned homes, including one with a totally collapsed front porch. I drove down every street in here, and counted 32 properties (in a neighborhood with only about 150 homes), ranging from churches to homes, that were obviously vacant (structural damage, boarded up windows, litter all over the yard), and many more that were lived in, but appeared to be uninhabitable.
Many of these homes were along the main street (Gratiot) going into downtown - a very high traffic area, and some, although on side streets, were visible from Gratiot. Vagrants everywhere and open-air dealing didn't sweeten the deal either. Something needs to be done here.
