I heard that Alderman Justin Elicker has written to his ward that the city did not put up any signs--but yes they are street sweeping. That is all I can say since I did not actually receive his email. Ask your alderman would be the best bet..

I received a call from a neighbor on Pearl Street about the issue, but haven't heard from the city. My first call (not that it will help for Monday) will be to DPW in the morning, and I'll post immediately.

FYI - DPW will not be tagging and towing during this month's street sweeping.

I live on State St. between Edwards and Hine Pl. and the sweeper drove by at 8:50. There was only one small area where it could get even a little close to the curb which means the street did not get clean at all. What a waste of fuel and workers' wages! I am furious and am very glad there will be a change in City Hall!

There will be NO Tagging or Towing on Monday, September 9 or Tuesday, September 10 during street sweeping. Sorry about any confusion.
