The other problem is that people making a left from Route 9 onto Watervliet Shaker Road unfailingly run red lights, and proceed onto Watervliet Shaker when there clearly is insufficient space to do so. This creates further congestion as cars double up in front of the tire store - even though it isn't a two-lane road.
