Recently, the speed limit was INCREASED on Williams Lake Road from 40mph to 45mph. It should have been REDUCED to 30 or 35mph as this is residential area.

I too agree that the old speed limit of 40 mhp was too high, and now it is way too high for this residential area
Please change it to 30 or 35 as stated above

State law requires that the State Police sign off on any speed limit on a county road. The State Police require that a speed study be done, and that the speed limit accurately reflect the speed traveled by 85 percent of motorists (the theory being that 85 percent of motorists will drive at a safe and reasonable speed). That was the case here, and the speed limit reflects such a study. We do not have the legal authority to arbitrarily reduce the speed limit.
