Recommend all-way stop at 1st & L Sts NW. Vehicles fly down 1st St NW to avoid North Capitol or New Jersey traffic. There is a school, library, and recreation center on the west side of 1st St and a large residential community on the east side. Adults often have to act as their own crossing guards to help the kids cross the street there. The marked crosswalk isn't enough and a stop sign would help to slow drivers down and protect the children.
